Sumhenner Studios

Who?

That's Sumhenner Studios. (It's pronounced "Summoner," roughly.) We consist of the astonishing total of one person, Ardaniel Aran Sumhenner, a 24-year-old geek who needed a place to stash some projects and links to things she works on from time to time. (Ardaniel has her own homepage as well, which is in the process of moving and has more personal information.)

What?

A few things, right now. Some are hosted here, some are hosted by good folks in other places, some are under development.

Things Here

Things Elsewhere

Where?

Obviously, all over the Web. I can also be found on IRC (Undernet #userfriendly) and have previously been involved with a handful of Usenet newsgroups, both as a regular poster and, in the case of soc.religion.paganism, as a proponent (under another net.alias). I used to do mailing lists, and, with the exception of the internal O! webzine list, I don't any more.

I have also turned up at Linux World Expo once, and tend to haunt an axis across the States roughly consisting of Boston-Pittsburgh-SF. I'm currently in the process of becoming geographically liberated, to quote my housemate.

When?

Now. It's not likely that I'd be doing this at any other times.

Why?

The canonical reason: because it's here. I like anime; therefore, I write the anime column for O! and support my local anime club. I like RPGs; therefore I review them and play them whenever I can. I support Open Source, so I pitch in on the MMP when Mike needs a hand (and believe me, there are a lot of other people who do a lot more and deserve a lot more credit than I do in that department). I like to look shit up; asking me a relevant question will probably get you a relevant answer, depending on my mood.

How?

At the moment, logged into ufies.org, a Debian box that provides free shells for foks in the User Friendly community. Many props must go to Arc for handing me a vhost here.

I use pico to write the HTML myself, then emacs to go back and fix things or add stuff later. I very rarely do my own graphics; it's not my strong suit. Talented folks tend to chip in for me in exchange for credit on the site.

As usual, more to come. I think my gaming project is going to migrate over here today.
